Project management

Techni has completed over 400 projects and have established an effective work methodology. Our project manager’s task is to maintain the administrative part of the project which gives the PM enough room to upkeep a complete overview and keep up communication with the customer. In addition to an official degree our project managers utilize SW tools integrated in our database as an organizing aid.

QA

Creativity is a dominating factor in Techni, and to ensure that the creative and the more precise tasks are done in an orderly fashion Techni has thorough routines in accordance to ISO standards. Techni is currently certified to ISO 9002:2000 and several 3rd party certificates.

Industrial design

In the current market there is an overflow of competing products. It has been proven in several occasions how good design has a positive effect on sales numbers. Regrettably there is still prodigious surrounding the use of designers in the product development process, but products with good ergonomics along with appealing aesthetics will put your product ahead of competitors.

Hardware design

Techni has good competence in utilizing new tools and technology. We offer a complete development process within electronics which ranges from idea to verification, production and testing. The Hardware design group consists of 9 engineers dedicated to delivering excellent solutions in order to meet your demands. Our employees are constantly challenged, and gather new knowledge in the form of internal and external schooling if needed.

Software design

Our Software department consists of experienced and adaptive members of staff with a broad field of programming expertise. Some of the services we provide are embedded systems within AVR 8 and 32bit core, PC and FPGA applications. We have especially good experience with hardware intensive system solutions in relation to sensors and actuators used in extreme environments.

Mechanical design

It is our 12 mechanic designers which stand for the majority of the construction of the mechanical solutions and make them work. Thorough education, long experience and genius heads are elementary factors Techni demands from our engineers. Our mechanic engineers have the capacity to construct everything from simple mould tools to advanced gear systems for subsea applications operating in the North Sea. It is this vast range of capability which makes Techni an attractive R&D source and a motivating place to work.

Analysis

If there is one aspect which really has a positive effect on cost efficiency it is the utilization of a good analytic team. By implementing analysis in the projects we save costs by reducing expensive trial and error testing to an absolute minimum. Techni uses advanced software in order to measure and simulate important factors like injection mould flow, efficiency, tensile strength and more. This saves us and our customer’s time and money. Static-/Dynamic-/Fluid-/Thermal analysis are some of the basics factors Techni’s analytic team is able to measure, and in addition Techni is also able to write customized analytic programs.

Sourcing

When a product is ready for production it is important that it is done at the right place, time and at the right price without affecting the quality. In order to achieve an effective sourcing process Techni has established a dedicated sourcing team which ensures to meet the customers demands for cost efficiency and quality. This department also has an enormous sub supplier database for any parts needed in a development process. A sourcing department relieves unnecessary pressure on the engineers and gives them freedom to concentrate on problem solving rather than finding parts.

Production

For many years now Techni has stood for the production of small to medium sized orders. We also use certified sub suppliers for component construction while the assembly is done in house. Being able to offer a complete product development process to our customers is truly unique in Norway and most of Scandinavia. All which is needed is an idea; customer demands; a time limit and Techni will do the rest. Our production capability has recently expanded with production factories based in China and we are now able to offer large scale production to our customers. These facilities are now in full operation producing Techni designed products for one of the worlds leading Health Care Companies.
