Techni receives orders for more ROGs after Visund success
Following the successful deployment to the Visund oil field as part of AKS delivery of XMTs to StatoilHydro, Aker Solutions has ordered several ROGs developed by Techni. Gears convert a rotational force to a linear force and make it possible to override the opening and closing mechanism of the two 2” actuators manually using a ROV (Remotely operated vehicle).
First delivery of ROGs to the Visund oil field
|Only 15 months after the starting date for the development project, Techni has delivered the first ROGs (Rotating Override Gear) to Aker Solutions. The ROGs are mounted at the end of the 2” actuators of the first 3 XMTs (X-mas tree)
The gears will function as manual overrides for the closing mechanisms on the actuators and make it possible to use an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to perform the job.
The government chooses the F35 Joint Strike Fighter
|Techni has since 2003 worked with a component to be installed in F35 JSF. Techni is one of the few Norwegian companies that have been involved in the development phase of the project. The product Techni delivers is a vibration damped, shock damped and cooled mounting frame for high-end electronics. Techni works on behalf of a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin. The subcontractor is developing a system generator for the primary flight control system in F35. The frame Techni supplies will protect and cool the electronics that control the hydraulic system onboard.
Techni AS has delivered 15 ROGs (Rotating Override Gir)
|Techni has delivered the first kit consisting of 15 ROGs (Rotating Override Gear) to Aker Solutions is in operation on the Visund field. The gears convert rotational torque into linear force to control the opening / closing mechanism of the 2 "actuators manually using an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle).
